Oil and Water: Legends of Grassroots Action

In the 1970s, Aristotle Onassis of Olympic Oil tried to build the world’s largest oil refinery in NH’s Great Bay. Four women in Durham-Nancy Sandberg, Sharon Meeker, Dudley Dudley and the late Phyllis Bennett organized local communities to resist this and the people won! Come learn their inspiring story, our New Hampshire story, of taking local action to protect the environment. This event is a fundraiser for the Lamprey River Watershed Association and the New England Grassroots Environment Fund. For more information, click here.
